The original novel I'm writing for the National Novel Writing Month is titled 'The Lazulian Diaries- Book One- Deceit." It is te first book in a three-part series, or trilogy.
In a Nutshell: This book follows Klockwork, the Guardian of Time of the Lazulian Elder Council. Bored with his life in the Elder Manor, he ventures into the seacoast city of Klyn, hoping for some entertainment. Instead, he meets charismatic Emeila Bowman, whom he quickly falls in love with. Ironic timing begins as the Twelve Days of Misfortune happen upon the planet of Lazuli, screwing with everything Klockwork's worked for. And all he wants is Emmy.
Cast: (Note: Will be updated as story progresses and characters develop.)
Terrestrials: Nicknamed "Terries" by the Elders, they are normal humans, used as pawns in the olden days and as cheap entertainment nowadays. They're also easy to blackmail.
Klockwork: Known as the Time Guardian and "Klockie," Klockwork is the Elder of Time who does not use pronouns. He steals secrets from Terries in exchange for time reversed to fix a mistake. He also uses fire.
Lucinda: Klockwork's sister, and Guardian of Space. She is sort of air headed.
